Validation for my 15 year old self
While at High School Snopes.com was my favourite website. At night I would scan its pages religiously, and come to school armed with rumours and truths to beguile my classmates. This week’s reading on Rumours took me back to that braces-wearing 15 year old self. I was thrilled to see that Snopes.com is still running, now with a slightly better (but still awful) interface and quite a few banner ads. In High School I kept this website secret (I felt it was my key to popularity), but today I’d like to share it with you! I sincerely recommend taking a peruse, particularly if you haven’t yet picked a rumour to write about for the Week 8a assignment. There are great sections on Disney and Food amongst others… Enjoy!
