Interac E-Transfer: The Musician

This is a commercial from last year entitled ‘The Musician’ by the company Interac. With its obvious problems set aside (specifically the assumption made in the commercial that the musician has access to e-transfer technology to accept digital donations), it is interesting to apply Allen and Pryke’s article to it, specifically with regards to their analysis of the compression of space and time within mature money economies.

‘…money cultures are made up of people who position themselves in relation to the circulation of money and are also positioned by it’ (Allen and Pryke 1999, p65).
