It is ASH Wednesday.
Finally, I had to share this Thought for the Day episode on Radio 4 which I heard by chance earlier this morning; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p072qb2z
I didn’t realise that it is actually Ash Wednesday today when Christians receive an imprint of a cross on their forehead made from dust and ashes with the words: “Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return” !
The film we watched yesterday failed to engage with this aspect of dust much … this is quite an interesting omission; especially considering how much time was spend looking at scientific ideas about dust?
