Japanese localisation to reinvigorate McDonalds
In terms of this debate between the global and local in our readings, I thought it is very interesting how Japan has turned around a very bad situation for McDonalds by a marketing campaign using more traditional foods and Pokemon. It is also interesting how this American company’s bad image in Japan was largely due to it’s Japanese associations with unhygienic Chinese meat.
