In case you wanted to dig into stories of penis snatching, killer mobile phone numbers, and deadly alms, here’s the article I mentioned in class the other day. I think it does a really great job of tying together the topics of witchcraft, rumor, and the uncertainties of modernity in multiple sites across Africa.
