Uploading film clips
Dear all,
As I said on Tuesday you are allowed to upload film clips (max 15 minutes) to accompany your 4000 word essay.
I have now checked the possibility of uploading clips and the good news is that all seems to be in place for you to do so (from March 25 onwards I think).
This is the answer that I have received:
An additional ‘assignment’ (submission location) for any supplementary audio or visual material has been set up. Since this is set up not to use Turnitin any file type can be uploaded. This ‘assignment’ is to allow submission of a supplementary media file to accompany the option course B2: Objects in Motion if required. The file name should be the same as that of your essay with the additional words SUPPLEMENTARY MEDIA. Please ensure that it remains anonymous and includes only your examination candidate number as an identifier.
I just wanted to stress again that if you are planning to use film clips you should make sure to explain to the reader why they are there and make a clear link in the text to the clips; ie. refer to them (see film clips 1) AND explain what they add to your argument.
I hope that all this makes sense.
All best,
Inge
