Volunteer Tourism in Thailand
I mentioned this article in class on Tuesday about volunteer tourism in Thailand. The volunteering conducted by urban Thai citizens in the rural areas is seen as a “gift” to the less privileged; however, this article analyzes how such tourism functions for the state.
